1.19.14 Worship Confessional

Fully_OrbedOne of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:28-31)

This morning as we continued our series, “Fully Orbed” we explored what it might mean to love God with all our strength. I shared two seemingly paradoxical realities:

Living a fully orbed life means offering our strength in service to Christ and others;
Living a fully orbed life means recognizing our limits and offering them as well in service to Christ and others.

Here is our complete worship flow:

  • Your Grace Is Enough (Matt Maher)
  • The Is Amazing Grace (Wickham and Riddle)
  • Your Grace Finds Me (Matt Redman)
  • Announcements and Offering
  • Message (Fully Orbed: With All Our Strength)
  • The Sacrament of Communion
  • I Need You Now (Matt Redman)
  • Everlasting God (Brenton Brown)
