09.29.13 Worship Confessional

Slide1God is for life and against death. God is for love and is against hate. God is for hope and is against despair. God is for heaven and against hell. There is no neutral ground in the universe. Every square foot of space is contested. (Eugene Peterson)

During our gathering yesterday we continued our series, RSVP, by exploring the Scriptural emphasis on today. God’s desire is that the whole world experience the liberating power of salvation and because of that we should possess a sense of divine urgency. The Apostle Paul stated that “now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).

How would you gauge your urgency factor? How engaged are you in the present and how aware are you of God’s activity in your life? How open are you today to get involved in the redemptive work that God is doing right here and right now? What would it take for you to pick up the pace and seize your divine moment today?
