09.08.13 Worship Confessional

IMG_0992Yesterday we experienced our third WE event – Called and Blessed. Pressing into the Abraham and Sarah narrative, we learned more about God’s plan for us as we looked at the story of a man and woman who uprooted their whole lives and traveled to a new place in response to God’s call.

WE is an opportunity for all generations to worship together. We created a different kind of worship environment by seating everyone around tables and through music, Scripture, drama, reflection and art we not only entered the story, but lived the story.

How do you engage the generations in worship? In what ways do you create space for both the young and old (and everyone in-between) to worship God?

Here is our complete worship flow:

  • Hallelujah: Your Love Is Amazing (Brenton Brown)
  • Your Grace Is Enough (Matt Maher)
  • Reading from Psalm 84
  • Awake My Soul (Mumford & Sons)
  • Better Is One Day (Matt Redman)
  • Announcements and Offering
  • Called and Blessed
  • Reading from Psalm 103
  • Instruments of Peace (Stefan van Voorst)

You can learn what other communities of faith experienced this weekend in worship at The Worship Community.
