New Music Tuesday

Here are three New Music Tuesday recommendations for your consideration:

“I turn the music on/ I’ve got my records on/ From underneath the rubble, sing a rebel song” are the opening lyrics from Coldplay’s “Every Tear is a Waterfall,” the first single from their upcoming not-yet-titled album which frontman Chris Martin has described as an album filled with songs “about life, the good stuff, the bad stuff, everything.” Any week becomes a little bit better with new music from Coldplay and “Every Tear” is just what you would expect from the guys.

Speaking of Coldplay my blog friend, Rob Rash writes this about the new project from Matthew Reed entitled “Come and Drink:”

“With a mix of Coldplay & Mat Kearney comes a refreshing and new sound for corporate worship. Although I wouldn’t pigeonhole Matthew Reed solely into a Christian worship genre, there are tones strung throughout this album that continue to point us back to God.”

I have been listening to this EP all morning and loving it. Check out the VIDEO EPK.

My third pick is a new song from one of my favorite songwriter/worship leaders, Matt Redman. “10,000 Reasons” is Matt’s latest project and it will be released in the US on July 12, 2011 (ever wonder the UK gets new music before we do in the States)! The current episode of Worship Together’s New Song Cafe features Matt and his song “Never Once,” a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness every step of the way.  Again, just what you would expect from Matt. I love the song and can’t wait for the entire project to be available.
